We should be casting directors: our fantasy pairings

Hugh Jackman said in a recent interview that he would love to see Wolverine as part of The Avengers. Yes. Stop squeeing. We are excited too, of course. Ok, ok. Stop screaming!!! We know it would be awesome seeing Wolverine interact with Iron Man. And we know the press junkets between Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jr would be epic. So there. Calm down.

You are done? Ok, good. Moving on.

After we squeed and giggle like the little obsessed fans that we are, we started thinking which actors (other than Hugh and Robert) we would like to see teamed up in a movie. Like Stallone did with The Expendables, making every boy’s dream come true of seeing Rambo, Terminator and John McClane fight together, we also have a couple of people we would like to pair up.

And, as you might correctly assume, we did coincide in some of them…

ALLY

The Hemsworth brothers

Seriously. Ok, Luke might not be as hot as his younger brothers, but I still wonder how come no casting director has ever thought of having all of them together in the same movie? That would be genius. Of course my ovaries wouldn’t survive it, but… whatever. I total see them in an action movie. Fighting, shooting things, running and defending people. There should be a minimum of 3 shirtless scenes: one for each.

Team1

Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch

Yes, I know they’ve already worked together. But I would love for Tom to be on Sherlock. That’d be epic!!! Since that rumor at the end of series 3 that there was a third Holmes brother, I can’t get Tom and Benedict out of my head.

Hiddles_Ben3

Gerard Butler and Ewan McGregor

Possibly also James McAvoy. In a period drama. Set in Scotland. Wearing kilts. Something epic. Braveheart meets Rob Roy. With a touch of Highland romance. Them speaking in their native Scottish accents. I’ll probably need subtitles for this one.

Team2

Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence

They can do anything together: drama, chick flick, comedy, Sci-Fi, I don’t really care. Just think how hilarious the interviews and talk show appearances would be!

Team3

Tom Hardy and Logan Marshall-Green

Cuz I know that when they meet each other, they’ll realize they are long lost brothers.

Team4

Luke Evans and Samantha Barks

Again, I know they’ve already worked together in the upcoming “Dracula Untold”, but they are not paired up in that movie. And I’d love to see them play each others romantic interest in a movie musical. They look amazing together and they both have incredible voices. And I would give my WiFi connection to see Luke sing in a romantic lead. Le sigh.

GWEN

Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway

These two are my OTP to end all OTP’s. I love how they look together, I think they would have amazing chemistry together, and they would make gorgeous babies together. But since I can’t make that happen, I’d settle for seeing them act in a raw love story, one of those that have you rooting for them to be together, crying like a baby.

Team5

Gerard Butler and James McAvoy

If one Scottish accent in a movie is good, then two are better. I’ve always wanted to see them act side by side, ever since my sister told me she thinks James could very well be a younger version of Gerry. I adore them both, I have had a huge-huge crush on both of them in the past, and I will always love them. No, I haven’t figured out the details, what the movie would be about, or what would their roles be, but I want them starring in the same movie!

Team7

Tom Hardy and Sandra Bullock

I think these two would have a lot of fun on set, and that would translate on the screen. I do know I want them in a super upbeat and sugary rom com. One of those Tom said he would never ever do. He would dazzle her with his charm and his English accent, and she would take his breath away being all adorable yet ironic and sarcastic in all the best moments. He would make her laugh, and she would make him see the world in a new light, full of possibilities and fun and adventure. Now someone write this and finance it and hire them as the leading actors, pleaseeeeeeee!!!!

ALLY: Ok. So we both want to see Gerard Butler and James McAvoy butcher the English language while speaking in broad Scots in a movie, huh? Interesting… And can we have Logan Marshall-Green have a supporting role in your Tom Hardy – Sandra Bullock Rom Com? He could be Tom’s younger brother…

GWEN: Mmmm… I don’t know. I’m not that fond of Logan. I just don’t see the resemblance! And yes, I need an overdose of Scottish accent to hold me over until Outlander is out, so James and Gerry would be perfect for that task. Emma Stone crushes it with anyone she’s with, but JLaw I’m not that crazy about so I don’t know. She comes across as too rehearsed in interviews to me, too calculated and scripted to make her seem super fresh and quirky and “oh-so-normal” and neurotic. Nope. I’m not buying.

ALLY: YOU DON’T SEE THE RESEMBLANCE??? SERIOUSLY??? When I saw the “Prometheus” trailer I thought it was Tom Hardy!!! Yay for the Scottish overdose!!! We should get the Royal Bank of Scotland to finance this little venture of ours. Emma Stone is my current girl crush and I’d love to see her in any movie. I do like JLaw though. Sometimes she can be too over the top, but I find her funny. And those 2 together would be perfect. By the way, I didn’t see the Jared + Anne appeal before, but after the pics of them together at the Oscars, I can totally see them together.

GWEN: Nope. I don’t see itttttttt. Sawry! And yes, Anne and Jared are perfect together. Too bad she’s married and he’s a terminal bachelor. Plus, they could sing together and that would just be toooo muchhh awesomeeeee. I’m sorry. I got carried away. My OTP ♥
