Yes, we have Scottish hunk James McAvoy as our Friday Night Hottie. (Maybe it’s because he’s Scottish and I’m on an Outlander overdose and all things Scotland lately; maybe it’s just because I love to see his face).
And I have to confess, when I tried to go back and remember when it was that I fell head over heels for James, I couldn’t remember!
A few years back I went through a “I-need-to-see-everything-he’s-ever-been-in” obsession phase, which we are all familiar with, and it all got muddled together, I think. I do remember going online and searching high and low for every movie he had been in up until then. I even had to go to Ally for help, since there were a few things I couldn’t find, and she’s like my guru when it comes to *cough*pirating*cough* finding stuff on the internet.
But I did it. I finally remembered. The first thing I saw him in that made me go crazy for his baby blues was “The Last King Of Scotland”. The movie is pretty gruesome and brutal, and he does an amazing job in it. I watched a few times (yeah, I have cable and I tend to watch and re watch things tirelessly), and then I was ready to see him IN EVERYTHING ELSE. That’s how I discovered a few awesome movies, which I recommend you to see, even if you don’t like him (but how can anyone not like himmm), because you can’t miss them. Movies like “Atonement”, “Inside I’m Dancing”, “Penelope”, “Starter For 10″, “Wanted”, “The Last Station”, “Becoming Jane”. You’ll thank me later.
I even tracked down his “episode” in Shakespeare Re-Told, where he played Joe Macbeth in a modern day adaptation of the classic. (I think this says something regarding the degree of my obsession, right?)
He’s doing press for “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” right now, and I can’t get enough of the interviews and the chemistry he shares with Fassy and Hugh Jackman. I mean, have you seen this?
He’s adorable, handsome, and his eyes are to die for. He can really, seriously act, he’s funny, and he can be romantic and cute, or merciless and tough, depending on the situation. Even Angelina fell for his charm.
Yes, I know, he’s married and has a kid. But a girl can dream, right?
I really enjoyed one interview he had with Craig Fergusson, when he was promoting Penelope. He’s adorable and super funny…
