Yes, I know. I’m behind schedule. But I was able to watch it just last night. So there.
In a season that nothing much has happened (except for the whole Joffrey dying thing), last Sunday’s episode was pretty cool. If you haven’t watched it, don’t keep reading. There be spoilers right ahead.
So… let’s highlight some of the awesomeness of the last episode:
1/ The title it’s “Mockingbird” not “Mockingjay”, don’t mix your fandoms. And, from that title, you just had to know Petyr was going to have fun…
2/ Sansa is a really slow learner. I mean, she’s been through hell since like forever so she should know by now not to trust people. She has just slapped Robin and kissed Petyr, so dearest Auntie Lysa won’t be happy. Now… can you tell me why she walks all the way to the edge of the Moon Door, even after creepy little Robyn babbled about how they like making people fly? Seriously.
3/ I know I shouldn’t be rooting for a minor to become a proficient serial killer, but Arya and the Hound make up the best team in the show!
4/ Hot Pie!!! That’s about it. It was so cool seeing him again.
5/ Can I have the number to Daenerys’ dressmaker? Cuz, seriously, she is in the middle of nowhere and still manages to change dresses for every scene. And they are fabulous!
6/ We like Prince Oberyn Martell. Not just because Pedro Pascal is kinda hot (regardless of that nose), but because the character is awesome!!! That scene between him and Tyrion was some of the best shit in the whole season!!!
It’s interesting to look at the Starks who have survived and try to find out what they have in common that makes them survivors. I think the answer is just that – they’re surviving in the world they have.
Ned (and Robb, in a different kind of way) tried to change their world (Ned out of nobility and Robb because he wanted what he thought was due him). Cat threw her lot in with Robb and sealed her fate.
Jon, Arya and Sansa are just fighting to hang on. Jon and Arya are literally fighting but Sansa is, too, in her still-too-naive kind of way.
Sansa is the one who really surprises me, to be honest. You’d think she’d have had her throat slit by now but she’s still around. Maybe because she’s so naive? I don’t know.
I like what you say! And it’s so true!!! Same goes for Bran (though Rikon is just a baby)…
And yes. It’s a miracle Sansa hasn’t been stabbed in the back by now. I sometimes wonder how the heck she manages to keep surviving…
*SPOILERS*
I just watched it last night too!! LOL.
Tyrion and Oberyn’s scene made me tear up! It killed me. And it made me hate Cersei EVEN MORE, if that was even possible.
Seriously, what was Sansa thinking. She keeps trusting people left and right. Girl needs to start thinking her moves through. AND NOT TRUSTING PEOPLE SO MUCH.
Petyr creeps me out. The way he talks, the way he looks at her, he kissed her and I almost gagged. YUCK.
Arya and Clegane are becoming friendssssss. I love that.
I still can’t get over the fact they changed actors for the role of Dario. WTF.
And seeing Jon and Ghost together made me all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s like he has a little piece of home, even if that homes doesn’t exist anymore.
I really, really, REALLY want to believe Oberyn’s gonna win and Tyrion is going to be spared. Is that crazy??
Tyrion and Oberyn would make a great team! LOL. Their scene was perfect. And I’ve always hated Cersei.
Sansa is just… Sansa…
Jon and Ghost being reunited was awesome!!!
I don’t know if Oberyn wins. I haven’t read all the books (bad fan). Though I guess Tyrion has to survive. He just HAS to.
