New hot fanged guy in the neighborhood: NBC’s Dracula preview

I always get excited watching the previews for new TV shows. And fall season usually brings great things. I tend to watch the pilot for every new show, and then decide If I’ll join the fandom or not.

As a fan of anything fanged, I’m hyped about NBC’s new take on “Dracula”.

It stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Count Dracula himself. Super-duper quick, the show follows our favorite Vamp in the late 1800′s as he moves to London and poses as an American entrepreneur called Alexander Grayson to seek revenge on the Order of the Dragon, a group that betrayed him centuries ago (talk about holding a grudge). But… (there’s always a “but”), his plan meets an obstacle when he falls for a lady (what else?). Can you guess who? BINGO! Mina Murray, who happens to look exactly like the only woman he’s ever loved. Didn’t see that one coming, did you?

The show is set during the Victorian era, so I bet that it will be played like straight out of a romance novel, with Dracula being the anti-hero we just happen to love cuz he is fighting those who wronged him. Don’t we just love the bad boys?

Quick question though: why pose as an American? Really, who thought of THAT? Come on… you have Jonathan Rhys Meyers playing Drac and you take away his accent. Are you insane???

“From the producers of Downton Abbey and the director of The Tudors” (fangirl shivers!) Another thing that gives me (good) shivers? Thomas Kretschmann as Van Helsing. And hey! It’s Helena (The Huntress) from Arrow!!! Jessica De Gouw as Mina Murray! So this means Felicity will have one less competitor for Oliver’s affection in Arrow?

Ok, back on topic. Sorry. Dracula will premiere on October 25th.

So, do you plan on adding a new fanged hero to your list?

80’s kid, 90’s teen. That sums it up quite nicely. Fan of almost everything. There’s not enough room in cyber-space to list everything (or every guy / fictional character I have the hots for), but I’ll try: Outlander book series ultimate fan (‘cuz JAMMF is just perfection), YA and romance novel avid reader, BSB fan to the death. Current TV Shows addiction: Game of Thrones, Arrow (I ship Olicity. Hard.), Glee, The Big Bang Theory. Past addictions: Friends, Spartacus, Smash, The Tudors, Battlestar Galactica, Lost (I’m an ending-hater). Future obsessions: Outlander on Starz, obviously. The Hot List: Gerard Butler, Theo James, Nick Carter, Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, Jai Courtney, Stephen Amell, Hugh Jackman and I could keep going to infinity. Oh! And I believe in the God of Google!
