We interrupt our regular Aidan Turner broadcasting to go back to my one true love. If you follow me on Twitter, you already know what this is all about, because yesterday I went into complete re-tweet frenzy mode when I read this.
Thing is… , starring Emma Watson.
Yes. Quite.
And he’ll get to do this:
Just the fact that Luke will have a role in a Disney movies is sheer perfection. And he’ll get to sing. So we already know which song I will have on repeat forever. Is it too much to ask that he gets a couple of songs, not just the one?
I gotta add, (SPOLERS AHEAD) Gaston’s death scene is one of the best ever. I remember being so afraid when I was little.
Now I have like this huge need to watch the movie again.
It all started with this beautiful Tweet:
Disney hasn’t confirmed it yet, but it’s all over the Net. Yesterday my Twitter and Facebook feeds were all about this. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I really hope this is true. Luke will be perfect. Why?
1/ He can sing. Like really, REALLY well.
2/ He’s over 10 years older than Emma Watson, so it’ll add to the whole “eeewwww” factor of his character being interested in Belle
3/ He has a very strong presence on screen, which is a must for Gaston
4/ He can really play a villain
5/ The perfect square jaw
Now… if Disney had cast Tom Hiddleston as Beast, this would have been my most favorite movie, even before they started filming. But even though there were rumors of Eddie Redmayne playing either Gaston or Beast, is reporting that the role of Beast might have gone to Dan Stevens. Don’t know how I feel about that one…
He also took to Twitter to make the announcement:
Anyways… Luke Evans can be my guest anytime he wants.
Yes, yes, yes! Your five reasons why Luke will be perfect are spot on! So happy for him to have been cast in this role.
Me too! Luke in a Disney movie is like a fan’s dream come true. I’ve just read it’s coming out on March 2017. I can’t wait that long!
