Since a few years ago, I’ve been part of a BookClub. Never mind that over the years we went from reading books and getting together to really discuss them while grabbing a bite to using books as an excuse to get together and eat. There’s still a book somewhere a midst the food, I swear. We still do read.
One of the books we actually read was “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”, because we were that kind of BookClub that reads almost anything. Besides, out of 5, 3 of us loved “Pride and Prejudice”. And who doesn’t love a good zombie story? So it was a no-brainer.
We really liked the book. It’s a lot of fun. And we were excited because it had just been announced they were going to turn the book into a movie. We are all going to see that movie together, of course. Maybe grab some popcorn while we are at it.
Nowadays, casting news are everywhere and I couldn’t be happier. So, here’s the cast, as far as we know:
Downton Abbey’s Lily James will play Elizabeth Bennet; Jack Huston will be wicked Mr Wickham; Douglas Booth will play Mr. Bingley; while Sam Riley (the only one I kinda liked in Maleficent) will be Mr. Darcy.
One amazing piece of casting: Matt Smith as Mr. Collins. Round of applause, please.
Now, has brought us another good news: Game of Thrones’s Lena Heady and Charles Dance are joining the cast.
If I had any doubt about watching this film, I don’t now.
