While you catch your breath and lower your heart rate, let me act as a bit of a reminder. During series 3 last episode, Mycroft oh so casually alludes to a 3rd brother: ”I’m not given to outbursts of brotherly compassion. You now what happened to the other one.” At the time, I thought it was quite odd because, if I remember correctly, there was no 3rd brother on the books, right?

I know it’s just an Internet rumor, I know the 3rd brother is probably dead and will never appear on the show, I know there like 0.5 chance in a million that Tom Hiddleston would appear on Sherlock… but goodness, what a great dream!!! This is something that can sustain me till series 4!!!
