Yesterday, when Caitriona Balfe was announced as Claire, I had a moment of extreme obsessive fangirlishness and went a bit overboard with the retweeting. Sorry.
And… I’ve realized that my first instinct whenever an actor is cast or whenever I read a book, watch a series, a movie or whatever… the first thing I usually do is start them on Twitter and Instagram. Facebook? Hmmm… not so much.

Writer Goddess herself (and Jack Randall also, as she likes to point out) is very active on Twitter at . She doesn’t have an Instagram account (boo) but has a page and a . She has wicked sense of humor and likes Tweeting. A lot.
Sam Heughan
Mr Jamie Fraser, who Tweets photos of horses, Scotland at sunset and has a Twitter-love-fest with Gabaldon, calling themselves “Sheugs” and “Gabs”. On his account he does things like this:

She’s been getting lots of welcoming messages in her that went from like 300 followers to almost 4000 in like 2 hours. And has an account which we hope she’ll put to good use, posting lots of pics of Sam as Jamie. It’s the least she can do for us.

His account seems to be riddled with being from Middle Earth… Let’s just hope it travels to 1700′s Scotland soon.
