Like, really? Please!
So, here’s the deal. The wonderful people who run PR for Starz have come up with another idea to make us all go to Twitter jail for tweeting every 0.001 nanoseconds. Not only did we have Sam Heughan’s birthday on Wednesday, but also Jamie Fraser’s 293rd birthday was yesterday. Two days in a row. Wow! Go Beltane! And now, today May 2nd, the day that Calire went through the stones, we are meant to go viral on Twitter’s ass and unlock the goodies.
It all started yesterday with this tweet:
YES! We’ve been ready for more than 20 years!!!
The idea was that would reveal something on Friday May 2nd. We started speculating: more first look pictures? A new trailer? The freaking release date?!?!
As we fans are really devoted, someone awesome enough found something that we might not have been supposed to find. Oops! It’s been taken offline now, but it was a 40 seconds intro to a new trailer. Claire’s voice in off read the lines from Outlander’s prologue and it gave me all the #feels!!! The images were those of Claire and Frank in Inverness and Castle Leoch, some subtle sex scenes between them, the druids at the stone circle and Claire at Craig Na Dun just before she falls through the stones. And when we were almost there… almost with Jamie… BAM! The video ended. Life’s so unfair…
But the video ended with the invitation to go to in order to unlock the full trailer. As the impatient little fans that we are, we all flocked there and saw… nothing. The site wasn’t online yet. Damn!
Today, we are working for it. The #WhereIsClaire search is on!
Go to the site and share the poster using the hashtag #WhereIsClaire. We need to see that trailer!!!
By the way, I love the fact that the background to the site are all fan interactions. Starz really knows how to build up the fandom community!!!
Now Yahoo TV has posted some new First Look photos and the 40 seconds sneak peek. Go take a look. It’s a nice article:
Please, go tweet await. We’ll share in the pain of the wait. And then… we’ll break down whatever new material we get. Because that’s what we live for!
