God is a fangirl – #ALSIceBucketChallenge

If you happen to have been online for at least 1 hour in the last couple of days, you are bound to have stumbled upon a video of a celebrity (or random person) trowing a bucket of iced water on themselves. You did, did you? Me too. And I have to say that I have become addicted to this videos.

The first video that I saw, actually, was about a week ago and it was from a fellow fangirl (I’m taking to you, Em). I had absolutely no idea why she’d do such a thing. So, I Googled (duh).

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a campaign to raise awareness and money for the ALS Association. And, thankfully, it has gone viral on social media. Not just because this videos are so much fun to watch, but because it’s for a good cause and, apparently, they worked wonderfully. I mean, number one: they are creating awareness over the disease (I for one, didn’t know about it before this videos) and, number two, the ALS Association has received $31.5 million in donations compared to $1.9 million during the same time period last year (July 29 to August 20). These donations have come from existing donors and 637,527 new donors to The Association. So… wow!

There have, seriously, hundreds of these videos. But I’ve sort of compiled my Playlist of my favorite ones. Either cuz they are funny or because… well… the dudes doing them are hot.

Let’s start with NATHAN FILLION because, basically, he is like the God of Geeks and because he nominated Tom Hiddleston. He even tweeted that he did it for the fangirls. How can you not love him?

So… TOM HIDDLESTON accepted the challenge and… thank the Lord, wore a white t-shirt while doing so.

Nice, huh? So he nominated Benedict Cumberbatch (whom I still waiting to accept the challenge. So there will be a Part 2 of this post for sure) and he also nominated LUKE EVANS. Thanks Tom. Really. Those 24 hours in between were eternal and I dedicated my time in hoping for a white t-shirt. God must be a fangirl (as my friend Eli so cleverly points out) cuz Luke also wore a white t-shirt.

Oh, I do love him. Those red trunks were a total bonus. So he nominated Henry Cavill and Sir Ian McKellen. Yup. There’s gonna be a Part 2 of this post.

The challenge also hit the Marvel Universe and I wanna send a shout out to ROBERT DOWNEY JR who nomintaed Thor. Not only that, but RDJ did his challenge in style

CHRIS HEMSWORTH accepted his challenge and gave us some arms to drool over

CHRIS PRATT also did the challenge and has to be the funniest yet

80’s kid, 90’s teen. That sums it up quite nicely. Fan of almost everything. There’s not enough room in cyber-space to list everything (or every guy / fictional character I have the hots for), but I’ll try: Outlander book series ultimate fan (‘cuz JAMMF is just perfection), YA and romance novel avid reader, BSB fan to the death. Current TV Shows addiction: Outlander, Game of Thrones, Arrow (I ship Olicity. Hard.), The Big Bang Theory, Marvel Agents of SHIELD. Past addictions: Friends, Glee, Spartacus, Smash, The Tudors, Battlestar Galactica, Lost (I’m an ending-hater). The Hot List: Luke Evans, Gerard Butler, Theo James, Nick Carter, Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, Stephen Amell, Hugh Jackman and I could keep going to infinity. Oh! And I believe in the God of Google!
